Four-Wheel-Steer Rough Terrain Forklift
Rough terrain truck with selectable four-wheel, crab and two-wheel steering, for long machines working in tight compounds and for placing loads alongside a trailer without repositioning.
Features
- Crab mode translates the whole machine sideways, which is how a long chassis picks a load from beside a trailer.
- Four-wheel steer cuts the turning circle by roughly a third against two-wheel steer on the same wheelbase.
- Mode selection has to be interlocked and the wheels re-aligned before switching, or the machine fights itself.
- More hydraulics and more steer cylinders mean more inspection points, so hose and ram condition becomes a weekly check.
