Rigid Haul Trucks
Two-axle rigid off-highway trucks for prepared haul roads in quarries and open pits. The lowest cost per tonne on a maintained road, and the most sensitive to road condition.
Features
- A rigid chassis and a short wheelbase put most of the payload over the drive axle, which is where the fuel advantage comes from.
- Body plating and liners are chosen for the material: abrasion-resistant plate for blasted rock, thinner plate with liners for softer ore.
- Wet multi-disc brakes with an integral retarder handle repeated laden descents without fade.
- Payload monitoring with an in-cab readout prevents chronic overload, which is what shortens frame and tyre life.
- Rock ejectors, tyre inflation monitoring and automatic lubrication are the options that actually reduce downtime on a haul fleet.
