Features

Charge air cooler leaks cost fuel and raise exhaust temperature long before a warning appears, so they are pressure tested at service.
Viscous fan drives and electronically controlled fan clutches fail gradually, showing as high coolant temperature only under load.
Hose sets are replaced together on high-hour vehicles, because one new hose among ten old ones only moves the next failure along.
Radiator cap and expansion tank condition set system pressure and therefore boiling point; both are cheap and often overlooked.
Coolant specification is part of the repair: mixing inhibitor packages causes gelling and blocks the cooler cores.
