Truck and Bus Engine and Ancillaries
Fuel System Parts
Injectors, unit pumps, injection pumps, high-pressure lines, feed and hand pumps, pre-filters with water separation, tank senders and urea dosing components.
Features
- Water in fuel is the main cause of injector and pump failure, so the pre-filter and its drain belong in every fuel repair.
- Unit injector and common rail systems need the correct secondary filtration rating; a coarser substitute shortens injector life.
- Where an injector carries a calibration code, writing it to the control unit is part of the job, so diagnostic tool time is booked alongside the mechanical work rather than discovered afterwards.
- Urea dosing units and lines are replaced as a set where crystallisation has occurred, because deposits travel downstream.
- Common rail pipes are replaced rather than refitted, and their clamps go back in the original positions, because an unclamped pipe cracks at the cone from vibration within a few thousand kilometres.
