Features
- After-treatment parts are stage-specific, and a catalyst or filter from a different emission stage will not satisfy the control strategy.
- Temperature, pressure and nitrogen oxide sensors are part of the after-treatment system, and their characteristics are matched to the control unit.
- Blocked particulate filters are cleaned or replaced on measured ash loading rather than on mileage.
- Exhaust gas recirculation coolers are a common leak point and are pressure tested when coolant loss has no obvious cause.
- Flexible sections and clamps are replaced with any manifold work, because they harden and crack once disturbed.
