Features
- Pedal units are supplied as complete assemblies where the sensor is not separately serviceable, which prevents repeat faults from a worn track.
- Control units on many vehicles must be programmed to the chassis after fitting, so the repair includes a diagnostic session.
- Faults are confirmed by reading live sensor values against expected ranges before a part is ordered.
- Crankshaft and camshaft position sensors are matched on air gap as well as connector, and a substitute with the wrong gap reads intermittently.
- Wiring and connector condition is inspected at the same time, since corrosion at a pin imitates a failed sensor.
