Trolley-mounted diffused area light
A diffused fitting on a wheeled frame, pushed along a work face by the crew. Used on footway works, platform edges and anywhere the light has to follow the gang.
Features
- The trolley means the light moves with the work instead of being repositioned by a plant operator.
- Pneumatic wheels handle broken ground and kerbs; solid wheels do not and will strand the unit.
- A low centre of gravity and a wide track are what stop it going over on a camber.
- Cable is the limiting factor, so a drum on the trolley is worth more than extra mast height.
- The same fitting is usually available on a tripod, and the trolley is the version that survives daily use.
