The consumable side of diffused lighting: envelopes, lamp assemblies, fans and fittings. A torn envelope stops a possession as effectively as a failed engine, so these are carried rather than ordered when the tear happens.
Features
- Envelopes are matched to the specific fitting and mast — diameter alone does not make one interchangeable with another.
- A spare envelope per deployed unit is the normal holding for possession and night-works crews, because there is no repair in the field.
- Fans are a separate consumable with their own life and are worth holding alongside envelopes.
- Lamp assemblies in older units may be discharge rather than LED, and the two are not interchangeable in the same housing.
- Envelope transmission falls as it dirties, so a cleaning routine recovers output that would otherwise be replaced.
