Mechanical Quick Coupler
Pin-and-wedge coupler fitted without hydraulic connection to the carrier, changed by hand with two locking pins. The simplest and cheapest way to speed up tool changes.
Features
- No hydraulic installation on the carrier, so it can be fitted to any machine of the right class.
- Two locking pins retained by clips, which have to be checked as part of the change routine.
- Lowest mass and shortest added length of any coupler type, so the least loss of breakout force.
- Suits machines that change attachments once or twice a day rather than continuously.
- Operator must leave the cab for every change, which is where the time and the risk both sit.
