Blades, Edges and Grade Control Kits
Moldboards, cutting edges, end bits, circle wear inserts and the sensor kits that hold a grader to level. These items decide grader running cost per kilometre.
Features
- Standard steel edges are cheapest per metre bought and usually the most expensive per hour on abrasive material.
- Carbide-insert edges last several times longer on gravel and crushed rock but chip if used against kerbs or slabs.
- End bits protect the moldboard corners, which are the first part to wear through on bank work.
- Circle wear inserts are a scheduled replacement; letting them wear lets the circle rock and destroys blade accuracy.
- Retrofit grade control kits use mast-mounted receivers or a total station and can normally be moved between machines.
