Graders above roughly 18 t for quarry and mine haul road maintenance and large formation contracts. Extra mass converts into blade down-pressure, which is what cuts a hard compacted surface.

- Higher operating weight gives the down-pressure to cut a compacted or frozen haul road rather than ride over it.
- Longer moldboards move a larger windrow, cutting the number of passes needed to re-form a wide haul road.
- All-wheel drive with creep speed control lets the machine hold a fine cut at very low ground speed.
- Heavy-duty circle drives with replaceable wear inserts survive continuous bank cutting.
- Cab air filtration and pressurisation matter on dusty haul roads, both for the operator and for the electronics.
