Batch Asphalt Mixing Plants
Tower plants that dry aggregate, screen it into hot bins, weigh each fraction and mix a discrete batch. The usual choice where several recipes run in a day and every batch has to be recorded.
Features
- A hot screen and hot bin arrangement lets one dryer feed several recipes without re-running the aggregate.
- Individual weighing of aggregate, filler, bitumen and additive gives a batch record per mix.
- Twin-shaft paddle mixers reach a homogeneous mix in a short dry and wet mixing time, which is what allows short batch cycles.
- Fibre and additive dosing can be added as a separate weighed line for stone mastic and modified mixes.
- Recipe changes cost one batch of transition rather than a plant shutdown.
