Laden Container Handler
Mast machine with a top-lift spreader rated for laden boxes, typically 32 to 45 t, for yards laid out in single-access rows where a reach stacker's row reach is not needed.
Features
- Lifts only from the row in front of it, so the yard has to be laid out in single-access rows.
- Cheaper per tonne lifted than a reach stacker of similar rating, and simpler to maintain with no boom cylinders or telescopic sections.
- Stack heights are lower than an empty handler, typically four or five laden high, because of the load and the mast.
- Wheel loads are concentrated close to the mast, so pavement checks along the travel route matter as much as at the stack.
