Second-hand tractor unit from fleet replacement or trade-in, inspected across driveline, brakes and fifth wheel. Usually the fastest way to add a road-legal combination to a fleet.

- Fifth wheel inspected for wear on the jaw and plate, with the coupling height recorded against the buyer's trailers.
- Clutch or automated transmission function tested under load, not only at idle.
- Cab condition reported room by room, including bunk, climate unit and night heater.
- Aftertreatment system checked for filter loading and dosing faults before the vehicle is listed.
- Tachograph and speed limiter verified as functional and sealed.
