A generating set, its fuel, its controls and its acoustic treatment built into a shipping-container frame. Shipped as one item and commissioned on a prepared base.
Features
- Because the frame is a standard container footprint, transport, lifting and customs handling are routine rather than a special movement.
- Attenuated inlet and outlet sections take up container length, so usable output per container is lower than a bare set of the same footprint.
- The container is the acoustic enclosure, so the noise figure applies to the whole package and is measured with the doors closed.
- Internal walkway access means filters and fluids can be reached in the rain, which matters on a remote site.
- Integral fuel tanks in the base take the place of a separate bund, and their capacity is what gives the unit its unattended run time.
- Standard sizes are 20 ft and 40 ft frames; the step between them is often what decides the set rating chosen.
