DC Power Packs
Compact 12 V and 24 V packs for tail lifts, tipping bodies, crane outriggers and access platforms, running from the vehicle battery on a short duty cycle.
Features
- Rated in running minutes per hour rather than continuously, because the motor has no forced cooling.
- Cable size and earth return are part of the specification; voltage drop on an undersized feed is the usual reason a pack sounds weak.
- Integral solenoid, manual lowering and pressure relief let the load be brought down with the power off.
- Reservoir material and shape are driven by the space available under a body, so the tank is often the part chosen last.
- Mounting orientation is limited on most DC packs, and fitting one on its side will aerate the oil.
