Dewatering Pumps

Electric self-priming dewatering pump

The same self-priming pump end driven by an electric motor, for sites with a supply. Quieter, cheaper to run, and with nothing to refuel.

Features

  • With no engine there is no fuel, no exhaust and no engine service, so the running cost is electricity and seals alone.
  • Three-phase units must be checked for rotation on first start; reversed rotation gives reduced flow that looks plausible on a gauge.
  • Float or pressure switch control lets the pump cycle unattended without the start reliability concerns an engine brings.
  • Motor protection rating and the cable gland decide outdoor survival — the motor rarely fails before the cable entry does.
  • Star-delta or soft starting matters on larger motors where the site supply is limited or shared with other plant.
  • A supply failure stops dewatering silently, so a high-level alarm is worth specifying on anything that matters.

Specifications

Figure Typical range Unit Why it matters
Maximum flow 30 - 250 m³/h Compare at duty head, not maximum.
Maximum total head 20 - 60 m Decides whether the outfall is reachable.
Motor rating 2.2 - 30 kW Sizes the supply, cable and starter.
Supply voltage / phase 230 / 1~ or 400 / 3~ V Must match the site board.
Motor protection rating IP 55 Governs survival standing outdoors.
