Diesel self-priming dewatering pump
An engine-driven self-priming centrifugal pump on a skid or site frame, for excavations with no electrical supply. The standard civils dewatering set.
Features
- The engine and pump are matched to a duty point, so a set sized for 40 m head will not be efficient at 15 m and vice versa.
- A bunded base frame contains fuel and oil spills and is normally required wherever the discharge reaches a drain or watercourse.
- Automatic stop on low water prevents the commonest failure — the pump running dry when the excavation empties overnight.
- Fuel tank size sets the unattended interval, and a set left over a weekend needs a tank sized for it.
- Acoustic canopies are available and are what allow the set to run through the night on an urban site.
