Auger Drive & Flights
Hydraulic drive head and interchangeable flights for drilling holes for posts, piles, planting and ground anchors from an excavator, backhoe or skid steer.
Features
- Output torque, not carrier power, sets the diameter and depth achievable in a given soil.
- Flights interchangeable on a common drive: earth flights for soil, rock augers with carbide teeth for weathered rock, wide flights for planting.
- Extension shafts available where depth exceeds a single flight length.
- Down-force comes from the carrier, so an under-weight machine will not feed the auger into firm ground.
- Requires an auxiliary circuit with the stated flow, and a pressure relief setting that protects the drive on a jam.
