Compaction Wheel
Toothed steel wheel that replaces the bucket to consolidate trench backfill by static load and kneading. No hydraulic connection required, which makes it the simplest compaction option.
Features
- Consolidates backfill by pressing and kneading rather than by vibration.
- No hydraulic connection needed, so it works on any carrier with the right hitch.
- Tooth pattern that breaks up clods and forces material into the trench corners.
- Narrow widths available for service trenches, wider for road reinstatement.
- Best used in layers of 200 mm to 300 mm; deeper lifts consolidate only at the top.
