Machines above roughly 16 t for quarry floors, aggregate terminals and continuous hopper feeding. At this size fuel, tyres and floor condition dominate cost per tonne.
Features
- Long-wheelbase and heavy-duty axle versions are specified where the machine loads rock rather than sand.
- Rock buckets with a spade nose and segment edges shed blasted material better than a straight-edge bucket.
- Lock-up torque converters and multi-speed transmissions cut fuel use on load-and-carry cycles beyond about 50 m.
- Tyre protection chains extend life on sharp blasted floors but add unsprung weight and cost.
- Automatic central lubrication reduces daily downtime on a machine with many pivot pins.
