Medium Wheel Loaders
The 8 to 16 tonne classes that do routine stockpile and truck loading on batching plants, recycling yards and general sites. They balance cycle time against fuel and tyre cost.
Features
- Bucket volumes in this class are commonly matched to load a 20 to 30 m3 body in four to five passes.
- Lock-to-lock steering time and hydraulic lift speed set practical cycle time more than engine power does.
- Weighing systems fitted to the lift cylinders allow loads to be recorded per truck without a weighbridge pass.
- Axle and brake oil cooling should be specified where the machine works a ramp repeatedly.
- Bolt-on wear packages on the bucket corners and floor plate keep the bucket structure serviceable.
