On-Site Hose Replacement
A crimping set, hose and fittings and a fitter brought to the machine instead of the machine brought to the workshop. Used where a stopped unit blocks a face, a berth or a pour.
Features
- On-site work needs the crimper, the matching die set and a caliper at the machine, so the bores and fitting series that can be made up on site are agreed in advance rather than discovered at the breakdown.
- The failed assembly is copied on site, so there is no waiting on a drawing or a part number.
- Spilled oil is contained and the reservoir topped and checked before the machine is handed back, since a hose failure usually costs several litres.
- Coverage area, call-out hours and response are set per site in the service agreement.
- Assemblies made on site are recorded against the machine so the same line can be ordered over the counter next time.
