Telescopic Crawler Cranes
Crawler cranes with a hydraulic telescopic boom that work almost immediately on arrival and travel with a suspended load. Suited to pipeline, bridge and repeated short-duration lifts.
Features
- A telescopic boom removes boom assembly from the programme, which is the whole reason for the class.
- Tracked undercarriages allow lifting and travelling without outriggers, on ground a wheeled crane could not work.
- Variable-width undercarriages narrow for transport and widen for stability on site.
- Capacity at radius is lower than an equivalent lattice crane, so the load chart, not the headline tonnage, decides suitability.
- Many configurations transport in one or two loads, which suits contracts with several short lifts in different places.
