Compact electric counterbalance truck with a single steered rear position, for aisle ends, mezzanine floors and block stacking where turning room is the limit. Usually 1.2 to 2.0 t.
Features
- Outside turning radius around 1.5 to 1.8 m, roughly 300 to 400 mm tighter than a four-wheel truck of the same capacity.
- Twin rear wheels on one pivot add stability over a true single wheel without widening the turning circle much.
- Suited to smooth indoor floors; the narrow rear track is unforgiving on broken yard surfaces.
- Cushion tyres and a low chassis suit container loading and trailer work from a level dock.
- Capacity falls away faster than on a four-wheel truck once a sideshift or rotator is fitted, because the counterweight is smaller.
