Towable diesel screw compressor
A diesel-driven rotary screw compressor on a road trailer, supplying breakers, tampers and small drills on sites with no electrical supply. The default civils air machine.
Features
- Air end and engine are matched, so the machine holds its rated delivery at rated pressure rather than only at the outlet.
- Unloaded running between demands keeps fuel use down but still burns fuel — a machine idling for half a shift is a real cost.
- Two or four outlets with individual valves let separate crews work without one shutting the other down.
- Cold-weather packages add an aftercooler bypass or a line antifreeze injector to stop condensate freezing in hoses.
- Towing weight and pressure class are the two specification decisions; everything else follows from them.
