Tracked Dumpers
Rubber-tracked carriers for ground too soft or too steep for a wheeled dumper - peat, remediation works, embankments and landscaping. Ground pressure is the whole reason for the class.
Features
- Rubber tracks spread load to ground pressures close to that of a walking person, which is what allows work on saturated or reinstated ground.
- Variable-width undercarriages narrow for transport and access, then widen for stability when loaded.
- High-discharge and swivel bodies are available on the larger sizes for tipping into a bin or over a shutter.
- A low centre of gravity and long track contact give useful side-slope and gradient capability where a wheeled machine would slide.
- Rubber track wear is the main running cost; sprocket alignment and stone ejection features extend life measurably.
