Horizontal Screens
Linear or elliptical-motion screens running flat or near flat, for wet, sticky and fine material and for installations with limited headroom. Lower capacity per square metre, higher accuracy.
Features
- A flat deck gives a longer material residence time, which raises screening accuracy on near-size material.
- Linear or elliptical motion drives material along the deck without gravity assistance, so travel rate is set by the drive rather than by slope.
- A flat installation needs much less headroom than an inclined screen of the same area.
- They handle wet and sticky feed better, and suit dewatering duty with the right media.
- Twin or triple shaft mechanisms are more complex than a single-shaft inclined screen and need a stricter lubrication schedule.
