Rock Bolting Systems
Expandable friction bolts, friction stabilisers, resin and cement grouted bar bolts, plates, nuts and installation accessories for underground ground support.
Features
- Expandable friction bolts are inflated with water pressure and carry load as soon as they are installed, which suits an advancing face.
- Grouted bar bolts cost less per metre but need cure time before load can be applied, so cycle time drives the choice.
- Hole diameter range is specific to the bolt type, not to the family: expandable friction bolts want a much larger hole than a friction stabiliser or a grouted bar of the same nominal capacity, and a bolt drilled outside its own range either will not enter or will not grip.
- Corrosion protection is specified from the water chemistry underground, because support life is measured in years in wet ground.
- Plates, domed washers and nuts are part of the installed system and must suit the bolt thread and the rock surface profile.
Specifications
