Down-the-Hole Hammers and Bits
Down-the-hole hammers, bits, drill pipe and backhead assemblies for water well, blasthole and foundation drilling, with wear parts for hammer rebuild.
Features
- Placing the hammer at the bit keeps blow energy constant as the hole deepens, which gives straighter deep holes than top hammer drilling.
- Hammer size is matched to hole diameter, and an undersized hammer wastes air without gaining penetration.
- High-pressure hammers need both pressure and volume from the compressor, because pressure alone does not raise penetration.
- Rebuild kits with pistons, cylinders, chucks and check valves cost less than replacement where the casing is sound.
- Bit shank series must match the hammer chuck, and bit, chuck and retaining rings are treated as a matched set.
