Vertical Mast Light Towers

High-output six-head vertical mast tower

A vertical-mast tower carrying six heads instead of four, for large open areas — quarry benches, laydown yards, stockpiles — where one tall unit replaces several small ones.

Features

  • Six heads on a taller mast cover substantially more area per unit, which cuts the number of units and the transport with it.
  • The heads are usually aimable in pairs, so the unit can light 360 degrees around itself or throw everything one way.
  • Higher masts raise wind loading, so the wind speed at which the mast must be lowered is typically lower than on a 7 m unit.
  • Larger outrigger footprint is needed, which makes this the wrong unit for a lane closure and the right one for open ground.
  • Engine and alternator are larger to carry six heads, so run time per fill is shorter than a four-head unit on the same tank.

Specifications

Figure Typical range Unit Why it matters
Heads: number × rating 6 × 320 / 6 × 500 W Sets total output and aiming options.
Total luminous flux 280 000 - 440 000 lm One unit may replace two smaller towers.
Mast height, extended 9.0 - 12.0 m Needed to spread six heads' output.
Maximum wind speed, mast raised 60 - 70 km/h Lower than a short mast; plan for lowering.
Outrigger footprint (L × W) 3 000 × 2 600 mm Rules it out of confined positions.
