Electric centrifugal transfer pump
A close-coupled electric pump for fixed installations: tank-to-tank transfer, booster duty, washdown rings and wash plant supply. Quiet, efficient and permanently installed.
Features
- A close-coupled motor and pump end keeps the footprint small and removes shaft alignment as a maintenance item.
- Fixed installation means the suction can be flooded from a tank, which removes suction lift from the calculation entirely.
- Efficiency at the duty point matters because the pump may run thousands of hours a year — a point or two is real money.
- Booster duty needs a pressure switch or a variable-speed drive, and running against a closed valve without protection destroys the pump.
- Three-phase rotation must be checked on first start; reversed rotation gives reduced flow that reads as a system fault.
- Dry-run protection is essential on any pump fed from a tank that can empty.
Specifications
| Figure | Typical range | Unit | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flow at duty point | 200 - 2 000 | l/min | The figure the installation is designed around. |
| Total head at duty point | 15 - 60 | m | Includes every fitting and metre of pipe. |
| Motor rating | 1.1 - 22 | kW | Sizes the supply and starter. |
| Efficiency at duty point | 60 - 78 | % | On thousands of annual hours, this is the cost. |
| Dry-run protection | fitted / not fitted | A tank that empties will otherwise wreck the pump. |
