Electric drainage submersible pump
A compact electric submersible for clean and lightly contaminated water: trench bottoms, basements, lift shafts and manholes. The pump most site sumps get.
Features
- Small enough to be lowered on its own cable or a lifting rope and left, with a float switch for unattended cycling.
- Single-phase 230 V versions exist up to a few kilowatts and plug into an ordinary site board.
- A strainer or sock on the suction is what keeps grit out of the impeller and is the cheapest life extension available.
- Snore or low-level operation — pumping down to a few millimetres — is a specification some units have and others do not.
- Cable length supplied is a real limit, because joining submersible cable on site is not a repair anyone should accept.
