Wear Plates and Liners
Quenched and tempered wear plate, chocky bars and profiled liners for bucket floors, truck bodies, chutes and hoppers. Cut to profile on request.
Features
- Hardness grades around 400, 450 and 500 HB cover most earthmoving duty; harder plate lasts longer against abrasion but tolerates less impact and is harder to form.
- Weldability depends on thickness and hardness together: above modest thickness the joint needs preheat and a controlled interpass temperature.
- Chocky bars and weld-on blocks give local protection where full plate would be wasteful or too heavy.
- Plate can be cut to profile from a drawing or from a template taken off the worn part.
- Adding wear plate raises bucket weight and cuts payload, so thickness is a trade-off rather than a maximum.
