Cylinder Repair and Rod Replating
Reseal, barrel honing, rod straightening and replating, and end-cap repair for cylinders whose barrel is still within tolerance. Pressure-tested before it goes back on the machine.
Features
- The decision between repair and replacement is made after the barrel is measured, not from the outside appearance.
- Rods are straightened and replated where pitting is within grinding allowance; below that, a new rod is the only honest answer.
- Seal kits are built from the profiles found in the gland rather than from a bore-size lookup, which is why the stripped parts are kept until the kit is proven.
- Every repaired cylinder is pressure-tested and stroked before despatch, and the test record goes with it.
- A repeat failure on one machine is treated as a circuit question, since a cylinder that reseals twice in a season usually has a contamination or alignment cause.
