Controls and Instrumentation Fit-Out
Control heads, cables or electronic controls, engine and gearbox instrumentation, alarms and wiring looms, fitted and calibrated as one system.
Features
- Control head, actuator and engine interface are supplied as a set so that calibration is a single procedure rather than a negotiation between parts.
- Dual-station control for a flying bridge or an aft steering position is specified at the start, since retro-fitting a second station is disproportionate work.
- Alarm and shutdown points are set to the engine builder's figures and recorded with the handover documents.
- Wiring is run and protected against a damp, moving environment, with connections at accessible positions for future fault finding.
- Panel layout is agreed with the people who will stand in front of it, not decided from the catalogue.
