Screen Media and Crusher Wear Parts
Hybrid Screen Panels
Panels combining a wire or steel core with a polyurethane or rubber body, aiming at wire's open area and polymer's wear life. A middle option for near-size heavy duty.
Features
- A polymer-encapsulated wire or steel core gives thinner aperture walls than a cast panel, which recovers open area.
- Wear life sits between wire and full polyurethane, and so does the price per square metre.
- They suit decks where wire life is unacceptably short but a full polyurethane panel would lose too much capacity.
- Most are supplied as modular panels on a standard grid, so they can be mixed with other media along a deck.
- Because they combine materials, replacement is at end of life rather than by repair; they are not patched.
Specifications
| Figure | Typical range | Unit | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aperture | 2 - 50 | mm | Sets the cut; the range overlaps wire and polyurethane. |
| Open area | 35 - 55 | % | The gain over a cast panel of the same aperture. |
| Core material | wire / steel bar | Sets stiffness and the loads the panel can carry. | |
| Panel format | 305 x 305 / 305 x 610 | mm | Has to match the deck's modular grid and fixing system. |
