Impact Crushers
Horizontal shaft impact crushers for limestone, concrete and other low-abrasion feed. High reduction in a single pass, with wear cost that rises steeply on abrasive rock.
Features
- Reduction ratios well above a jaw or cone crusher mean one machine can replace two stages on suitable material.
- Rotor speed, expressed as tip speed, is the main control on product fineness and on blow bar wear rate.
- Apron gap adjustment sets product top size and is reset as the blow bars and apron liners wear.
- Blow bar alloy is chosen for the feed: martensitic for high impact and lower abrasion, ceramic-insert for abrasive feed at higher cost.
- Silica content in the feed is the limit on the method; above a practical threshold wear cost per tonne overtakes a cone circuit.
Specifications
| Figure | Typical range | Unit | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rotor diameter x width | 1 000 x 1 000 | mm | The basic size designation and the throughput driver. |
| Maximum feed size | 400 - 900 | mm | Oversize feed damages blow bars rather than being crushed. |
| Rotor tip speed | 28 - 45 | m/s | Controls product fineness and blow bar wear rate together. |
| Blow bar material | martensitic / ceramic insert | Sets wear cost per tonne for the feed abrasiveness. | |
| Drive power | 110 - 315 | kW | Sets installed load; impactors draw peaks on hard feed. |
