- Tracks allow repositioning as the face advances, so haulage to the crusher stays short.
- Diesel-hydraulic, diesel-electric and plug-in electric drive versions differ substantially in fuel cost and in noise.
- Plants are designed to be fed in series, and the throughput of the slowest unit sets the throughput of the train.
- Transport weight and width decide whether a plant moves in one load or needs partial dismantling.
