Oils for reciprocating and rotary screw compressors, and air-carried lubricants for percussive rock drills and pneumatic tools.
Features
- Compressor oils are selected for oxidation resistance and low deposit formation, because carbon in a discharge line is both a performance and a fire question.
- Rotary screw and reciprocating compressors have different requirements, and the separator element life depends on using the right one.
- Rock drill oil is formulated to be carried in an air stream and to cling to percussive surfaces, which ordinary oils do not do.
- Tool oil consumption is high by design, so pack size and dispensing arrangements matter on a drilling site.
- Where compressed air feeds a process, the oil's suitability for that contact has to be checked before it is used.
